Life is going pretty well for our family... three more days until Spring Break! YAY! It keeps me going each and every day (and a side note.... 57 days until summer but who's counting?)
Vera is doing well... Now... The day she finished her antibiotic for her double ear infection, I noticed a pretty good sized lump on her lower abdomen. After I described it to the nurse on the phone and my mom looked at it, it was determined that she PROBABLY has a hernia. My mom took her to the doctor the next day just to find out it's a bacterial infection in her lymph nodes. AWESOME. That means 10 more days of antibiotics, only this time it's three times/day! Did I mention that this is AWESOME????? Vera Hates medicine!!! Today is day seven and so far she has done pretty well. We have been able to mix the medicine in her food and she takes it like a champ! PRAYER WORKS!!!! The infection seems to be going down, although not as quickly as I'd like. She only has three more days of medicine and still has a lump going on. Good thing next week is spring break and I can just focus on her for once!
Marvin is super busy right now doing homework and studying for tests. Over the break he will be spending a LOT of time at work. Overtime and possibly Saturdays. I'm so proud of him! He truly is working his fingers to the bone for our family. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in my job and taking care of Vera that I forget how much he does! I am sure a lucky girl to have this husband!
Maybe the most exciting news at this time is that we got a new couch (or should I say cloud??). If you have been to our house, and seen our couch, and maybe been afraid to sit on it, you KNOW what an exciting announcement this is! It is amazing and beautiful and so incredibly comfortable! Our house is finally starting to truly feel like OUR home! It's amazing how long it takes to settle in.
