The Beginning of a New Year!

This year has started off amazingly. We have our house completely organized and clean. We have started doing Cut Co demos again and made some jerky! As far as what we have to look forward to this year...

• Marvin has applied to the University of Houston for Mechanical Engineering. We should find out about that some time this week.
• Erin is in her 2nd to last semester of school! SO before the year is over, she will be graduating from Sam Houston State University with a degree in elementary education (Early Childhood - 6th grade generalist).
• We will celebrate our 1 year anniversary in June!
• Rather than going on a "diet" we have just cut down our portions and have made a goal to work out 3 times/week.
• We are hoping to make it to Colorado this summer to visit/Marvin meet my family!
• In August we will be moving back to Houston for Marvin to be closer to school and I will student teach.
  

We are excited about 2010 and all the amazing times we will have with family and friends! Happy New Year!

Some of Our Favorite Things

• First of all, it is the end of October, so that means the semester is nearing it's end! We couldn't be happier about this! That means only 2 semesters left for me until graduation!

• Lately I have been substituting for my part of the income. One day was in high school, which was TERRIBLE, and once in 1st grade. The first grade was bilingual and even though that sounds scary, it was amazing! I loved those kids! I came home speaking Spanglish, it was awesome. 1st grade is my dream so today was really fun! I got more hugs than I can even count.
  
• Marvin has recently discovered an amazing blog through a friend of ours! There are so many delicious things on here that we thought we would share it! The cheese tortellini soup is our recommendation so far...
  
• Texas is the best dog anyone could ever ask for! He enjoys napping with us, or going to the dog park. He is so sweet! We just love him!
